Small Caps & Superscript Generator

Convert text to superscript and small caps Unicode characters.

Only lowercase letters a–z are converted to small caps. Numbers, punctuation, and symbols pass through unchanged.

What Is Small Caps & Superscript Generator?

Small Caps & Superscript Generator converts your text into Unicode superscript characters or small caps. These are real Unicode characters — not CSS styling — so they can be copied and pasted into social media bios, usernames, messages, and anywhere that supports Unicode text.

The output updates in real time as you type. This tool runs entirely in your browser — no text is sent to any server.

Features Explained

Superscript Mode

Converts lowercase letters, digits 0–9, and some symbols (+, -, =, parentheses) to their Unicode superscript equivalents. Uppercase letters are converted to lowercase superscripts since no uppercase superscript characters exist in Unicode.

Small Caps Mode

Converts lowercase letters a–z to their Unicode small capital equivalents. These look like uppercase letters but are the same height as lowercase text. Numbers, punctuation, and symbols pass through unchanged.

Real-Time Processing

The output updates instantly as you type or switch modes. No need to click a button to see results.

File Upload & Drag and Drop

Upload a .txt file using the Upload button or drag and drop a text file directly onto the input area. The file contents replace the current input text.

Tips for Using Small Text

Works on most platforms

Unicode small text and superscript characters work on Twitter/X, Instagram, Facebook, Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, and most messaging apps.

Not all characters have equivalents

Some characters like uppercase superscripts don't exist in Unicode. These pass through unchanged. The letter 'q' in superscript also has no standard equivalent.

Font rendering varies

Some fonts and platforms render Unicode small text better than others. Sans-serif fonts generally provide the best coverage and consistency.

Use for mathematical notation

Superscript mode is great for exponents (x²), footnote markers (¹²³), and simple mathematical expressions in plain text.

Small caps for elegant headers

Small caps give text a refined, professional appearance commonly used in legal documents, book titles, and design mockups.

Combine with other text tools

Use with Bold/Italic Unicode, Strikethrough, or Zalgo generators for creative layered text effects.
